Founded in 2000 and the first university in Taiwan to sign the Talloires Declaration, National University of Kaohsiung is a green international community. NUK has established sister-school relationships with universities from Asia, America, Africa, and Europe and is currently expanding its partnerships with leading academic and research institutes around the world.

Responsible for international academic and student exchanges, the Office of International Affairs at NUK is organized with three divisions: the Academic Exchanges Division, the Students Exchanges Division, as well as the Overseas Chinese and International Students Affairs. The Academic Exchanges Division is responsible for establishing collaborations with sister universities and receiving visiting scholars and delegates. The Students Exchanges Division is in charge of international exchange student programs and related curriculum activities. The Overseas Chinese and International Students Affairs Division facilitates international students’ admission, scholarship, and administration.
