We would like to introduce you to our international symposium on Collaborative Research and Action for Education Systems Transformation held in Ho Chi Minh City on 20 August 2026.

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

As education systems navigate disruption and uncertainty, there is growing recognition that lasting change depends on the strength of the ecosystems that support learners. Building these ecosystems requires new ways of learning together: connecting local knowledge with global insight and bringing research and action closer together at every level. On August 20, join us for the symposium bringing together educators, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and young people to explore how collaborative research and action can strengthen education ecosystems across Asia and beyond. Through dialogue, workshops, and shared learning, participants will engage with examples from the region and around the world, exploring what it takes to expand inclusive learning through AI, strengthen girls' agency, deepen family and community engagement, and build the networks needed to sustain education systems transformation.

At the center of the symposium is a shared question: What do learners need to thrive, and how can education ecosystems better support them?

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT:

Participants will engage with examples from Asia and other regions, reflect on lessons from research and practice, and discuss how these approaches can be adapted to different communities and education ecosystems. The symposium will provide opportunities to:
