Please regularly check your email. All the necessary information will be emailed to your account which you provided during the admission process. You will also receive the Line group of Freshman invitation by email, please join in it immediately. 

請經常確認你在申請入學所提供的電子信箱，有關註冊及簽證申請的重要訊息，將會透過電子信箱通知。你也會透過郵件收到Line新生群組的邀請，請務必加入。

About Tuition fees payment學雜費繳費

Once you have your Student ID number, you can log in NUK Tuition fees payment system and print the payment sheet online since August 29. Students can either “A. Register and pay at NUK on site” or “B. Remit by wire transfer from abroad”. The deadline for payment is September 9. (Fall semester classes begin).

取得本校學生證號碼後，自2024年8月29日起可線上列印註冊繳款單（本校網站首頁http://www.nuk.edu.tw；點選「學生」→「校務行政系統｣之「學雜費繳費查詢系統」，在「使用者登入」輸入自己的帳號(學號小寫)與密碼(西元生日)後即可線上列印)。

你可選擇”A.到校現場繳費”或是”B.自國外匯款至本校帳戶”，繳費期限是2024年9月9日(新學期開學日)。

*For choosing “B. Remit by wire transfer from abroad”, remember to mark your name and NUK student ID No. on the wire transfer sheet, so our cashier can recognize your identity.

Each of you have to take our advice for the possible arrival time of your flight in the LINE group before making a flight reservation. We will arrange a day to offer group airport pickup service before the class begin.

本校將在開學前安排一天為團體接機日，建議抵台日期我們之後會透過LINE群組公告日期，所有新生皆需依照本校建議抵台時程預訂班機，並在群組中登記告知你的班機抵達時間。

About Visa application and Degree documents關於簽證申請&學歷驗証

To study in Taiwan, you need to apply for RESIDENT VISA at Taiwan Embassies or representative office in your country. The Admission Notice sent from us will be the necessary document for you applying for a visa. Other than a new visa application, if your diploma and transcript haven’t notarized by Taiwan Abroad Office, please must contact the Taiwan Embassy Abroad Office in which your Alma mater is located and near to apply for the notarization service. Please note a notarized diploma and transcript are compulsory documents to register at NUK, so you need to bring them with you as you head for Taiwan.

來台灣念書你需要到在你國家的台灣駐外館申請簽證，我校發出的入學通知書是申請時必繳文件。除了簽證申請，最重要的是務必帶著”已經驗證過的學歷(包含畢業証書及在校成績單)來台灣辦理註冊，如同學申請入學的學歷文件還沒驗証，請務必與"鄰近你的母校所在地的台灣駐外館辦事處或僑務委員會保薦單位"聯繫，申請驗證完成後再親自帶過來台灣。

About housing關於住宿

The online application for on-campus dormitory opens from Aug. 16 8:00am to Aug. 20 11:59pm (Taiwan time). Our on-campus dormitory only offers 4-bedded bedroom. We advise you to send your application online as soon as possible on 16th Aug. since there are usually more needs than rooms available.

校內住宿線上申請時間為8月16日早上8點至8月20日晚上11點59分(台灣時間)，本校宿舍床位有限(僅提供4人一間的房型)，建議同學8月16日早上系統一開放就盡快登入系統提出申請，以免床位額滿。

For those who prefer to live off-campus, you need to find it on your own. Considering the inconvenience of finding housing before coming to Taiwan, we kindly advise all the new coming students to apply for an on-campus dorm for the first semester, and then find another housing which can meet personal needs next semester. 

如同學要住校外，請自行搜尋安排。考量未入境前找房子的不便利性，我們建議同學先申請第一學期住學校宿舍，第二學期再自行視需求找校外適合的租處。

The other important remark其他重要事項

1. To students already in Taiwan holding a visa for Mandarin Chinese Learning or other reasons and wish to change a new visa for degree pursuing on site: Please note the advice we got from the immigration agency is “you need to obtain a new visa 30 days in advance of your current ARC and visa getting expired” to ensure your stay in Taiwan is legal with a valid visa. *As we know, it usually takes 4~8 working days for immigration office to issue a new visa for the applicant. The open date to print the payment notice online is Aug. 29, 2024. For further inquiries, please contact your immigration officer.

1. 如果你是目前人在台灣學華語或其他來台事由的外籍人士，希望在本校開學前留台換證：請確認你目前的簽證效期是否與本校開放註冊繳費日2024年8月29日有重疊，一般而言換證需要4~8個工作天，依移民署過往提供給同學的建議是”新簽證要在原簽證及ARC過期前的30天取得”，以確保你能合法留台換簽，相關疑問請主動洽詢移民署了解。

2. All the notices to the admitted students will only be sent through Line group. If you have personally nominated an agency to help you with study abroad matters, please MUST offer us the contact information of your agent. The admitted student must take the full responsibility of the delay consequences if it is your personal failure of missing our announcement in the Line group.

即日起，所有來台留學事務本處將只會透過LINE新生群組公告通知(以本封信的收件人為依據)，如同學你有委託留學代辦協助你，請務必來信提供本處代辦單位的聯絡資料，如為個人因素錯過LINE公告訊息而延誤出國，請自行負責。

Overseas Freshman must fill in the following documents
境外新生必須填寫

1. 境外生綜合紀錄表 (貼上兩吋彩色照片1張) National University of Kaohsiung Overseas Students Form (please stick a 2-inch color print headshot)
2. 緊急醫療家長授權同意書 (未滿20歲必填) Authorization for Emergent medical care (do not have to fill in if you are over 20 years old)
3.列印以上表單後，請一併附上「護照(居留證)影本1份」、「分發通知書或錄取通知書影本1份」、「畢業證書影本1份」繳交。

Print document 1~2 and hand in with the copy of your passport, admission letter and previous school diploma.
