為落實2030雙語政策、提升學生英語口說能力及營造校園英語生活情境，教育部國民及學前教育署自110年起辦理「擴大引進外籍英語教學人員計畫」，並增辦「協助公立國民中小學引進部分工時外籍英語教學助理計畫」（English Language Teaching Assistant，ELTA），自111年4月1日起開始對外招募。
