We request every international student not to leave Taiwan during the winter break in case of the risk of contracting COVID-19 and complicated procedures of quarantine after entering Taiwan. Except for an event of force majeure (irresistible force or unforeseen event), you need to obtain consent from supervisors (MASTER/DOCTOR degree student) or mentor(Undergraduate), the Dept. /College and Office of International Affairs (OIA) and you are allowed to leave Taiwan. NUK/OIA will not offer any assistance on the cost of quarantine as below after returning to Taiwan. Besides, you won’t be able to apply for the quarantine compensation for epidemic prevention, and you need to arrange your study with the lecturers/supervisors on your own during the 22-day quarantine/self-health management. After you read the above information and you still want to leave Taiwan, please submit the National University of Kaohsiung International Student Travel Abroad Declaration and Application Form (ATTACHED) to OIA at least 2 weeks before you leave. If you do not fill out the declaration and application form and leave Taiwan without permission from NUK or do not inform us when your flight schedule or entry date changes, you will be punished in breach of the Regulations for Student Rewards and Punishments. (It refers to Article 8, paragraph 4 in the aforementioned regulations.)
